Eileen is faculty chair at Capella University where she teaches "Developing a Business Perspective" and "Communicating in New Media" to learners online. In addition to teaching for Capella University, Eileen serves as a curriculum and instructional content specialist focused toward helping new learners and their instructors in the BS in Information Technology and BS in Business programs.
Eileen is an Information Technology and Business Trainer and Consultant providing curriculum and training for universities, state agencies, school districts, and teachers. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Education from Capella University specializing in Instructional Design for Online Learning.
Eileen has a Masters and Bachelors in Business Education from Western Michigan University. Her Bachelor minors are Accounting and General Business. In 1994 Eileen received Honorary Doctorate from National Association of Investors Clubs (NAIC) for her contributions to investment education in Michigan. She is a Certified Internet Webmaster Associate and a Microsoft Office Specialist Master Instructor certified.
Studying methodology in teamwork, quality learning, human relations, learning styles, including Dale Carnegie®, Eileen has developed integrated teaching activities and has shared "Tips for Teachers" column in Michigan's education newsletters for five years. In 2002, Eileen received the Michigan Business Education Association's Recognition Award recognizing her contributions to teaching business education.
In 2005, Eileen received the Capella University Distinguished Faculty award for her contributions to Capella's online learners and faculty. Eileen is among Who's Who of American teachers 1998 and 2005 editions.
